It's not the mention of his god, it's this sentence that really annoys the heck out of me "everything we see and everything we can’t see exists because of you alone. It all comes from you, it all belongs to you. It all exists for your glory."

This belittles every human act and effort, transforming all human labour into insignificance. It's hugely insulting to the hard work of a country of people. The fact that this represents any proportion of the mentality of people in the US should at least make you think twice about moving there and where you'd live if you did :)
