An article here says that sleeping less than 8 hours a night is linked to higher incidence of heart disease.

I always new it was dangerous to get me out of bed early.

There have also been studies published that say that people who sleep more than 8 hours are more prone to heart disease and early death.

I highly suspect that the abovemay well be correlation rather than necessarily causality - i.e. people who are less than perfectly healthy (perhaps due to crap genetics) need more sleep.

Being a 9.5 - 10hrs person this is not encouraging either way.
