Anathem is technically out as of the 1st of September. Both Waterstones and Amazon agree. Neither actually have it in stock yet though.

I've ordered it for my holiday. I really hope it turns up.

Fictionwise have it coming into stock as an ebook tomorrow. DRM'd, but it's so fricking huge that I'd want to read it as an ebook anyway. So it'll be on my PDA tomorrow ...

I'd happily read it as ebook if I could afford an E-Ink reader.

autopope makes a good point. I bought System of the World as an e-book because the concept of propping up a book that size for an extended read wasn't inspiring. (Also, e-book was available earlier than UK edition.) And I did also pay good money for the hardcover, which is slightly annoying. I want discount!
