And this is why police dogs are so great

As [livejournal.com profile] theweaselking says - "You think a *human* charging you is fast and hard to hit?"

That dog deserves a medal.

And lots of good steak.

I'm a cat person, but there are some situations where the little furry darling is just not suitable.

Maybe if the police got *big* cats!

[identity profile] pisica.livejournal.com 2008-07-30 09:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, but they'd be racing towards the bad guy and all of a sudden 'ooh, Happy Meal box'.

I warn you now, if they start training police tigers to attack people, I'm joining the force.

Am I the only person who thought That rat bastard better not have hurt the doggie!

I must admit the first ten or fifteen times I was thinking "wow, what a great dog!", then a couple of times "what a brave dog!", then it shifted to "I hope that's a training exercise, otherwise those cops exposed that great dog to the dangers of being shot, bastards!" (after all the dog has no flak jacket, and hasn't the opportunity to say "er, sarge, I have a wife and five puppies at home, and I retire in 48 hours...")

but otherwise I just kept watching the loop and being more and more impressed each time!

I'm pretty sure it's training - looks like the guy's got one of those enormous padded jackets that the bitee in such exercises wears.

[identity profile] captainlucy.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 12:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Plus the Police aren't going in and beating the living bejayzus out of the bloke...

[identity profile] pseudomonas.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
though if it were for real I doubt the dog would be jacketed?

[identity profile] cybik.livejournal.com 2008-07-31 07:22 am (UTC)(link)
Nope, I thought that too - despite being really not a dog person.
