FTW!

Just back in from seeing The Dark Knight. Which came across as a cross between The Killing Joke and Saw.

Heath Ledger was genuinely scary, in a way that no other Joker has been (Jack Nicholson was amazing, but he never actually scared me). Aaron Eckhart was fantastic, and everyone was at least very good, with the sad exception of Maggie Gyllenhaal, who wasn't as good as Katie Holmes - which is a shame, as I generally love her.

I definiutely preferred it to Batman Begins, which I liked, but didn't quite gel for me. Go see!

I'm just back in from seeing it too, seems like everyone saw it tonight! I thought it was ridiculously awesome, albeit occasionally predictable {but it's a film, what do you expect}, and I am too tired to say anything else than that.

Except that Maggie Gyllenhaal looked OLD. With her saggy face sagging all over our cinema screen.

We saw it earlier tonight and I have to say I shed a tear or two. Heath Ledger was amazing as the Joker and was genuinely creepy. A natural talent has been lost.

Christian Bale in rubber though... *sigh*

i'm *so* with you on the Christian Bale thing, but i was slightly upset as we didn't get as many half nekkid shots in this film as in 'begins'.

MORE NEKKID CHRISTIAN BALE!!! I am so with you on this.

totally agree re maggie. I was disappointed too. And the joker was fab but i don't think oscar worthy. K loved this movie and has asked to go see it again which is rare.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought so. The first few scenes in which Rachel appeared in particular just seemed so anomalous...it really didn't work.

Excellent film all-round. And I was so glad to see The Scarecrow in there again, he was fab.
