Ultra-quiet PCs

I've currently got the Eee plugged into my monitor, keyboard and mouse. This gives me an entirely silent desktop experience for the first time _ever_.

I think my next proper desktop is going to have to be as close to solid state and passively cooled as I can manage...

i would get one, but i can't think what i'd use it for. i like my laptop having a high res screen and some grunt, and SSD HDDs aren't big enough yet. weighs a ton, but carrying it around sadly probably contributes significantly to my total exercise. :>

I actually don't carry the Eee around much - it mostly sits in the living room. It's more useful for being small and easily passed around than for taking places :->
