A sudden memory from last night

I let Paul Cornell persuade me that season two of Torchwood was worth watching.

What was I drinking???

I'm sorry, but whatever it was it would have been a lethal dose :(

There's only a couple of horrid episodes this season, I swear.

He made you watch it??

I'm envious of you meeting Paul Cornell. In any case, I've been enjoying the 2nd season of Torchwood. It's only had a few truly excellent episodes, but also far fewer howlingly bad clunkers. I found "Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang", "To the Last Man", "A Day in the Death", "Something Borrowed", and "Adrift" all to be very good indeed (which especially puzzles me, since two were written by Chris Chibnall, who wrote most of the worst first season Torchwood episodes (with "Cyberwoman" and "End of Days" being especially terrible). I'll actually be quite surprised if I enjoy the new season of Doctor Who as much.

Adrift? Adrift is AWFUL!!!!!
I enjoyed the first 3 eps of series 2 a lot (I was the other person sugggesting Andy try it) but since then it's mostly been mediocre crap, but not even as wonderfully crap as most of season 1, just dull crap..

He's absolutely right, it is.

And I *hated* the first series.

If memory serves and Paul was around, probably scrumpy or some kind of evil real ale.
