The female orgasm is apparently not a myth
Involved in a discussion over the weekend, where various women who had never discussed orgasms with each other were surprised by the difficulty that the other ones had. Some of them were shocked by how easy others found it, others by how hard the other ones did. Nobody was sure what it was like for the general population.
This poll isn't open to viewing, as I know that lots of people don't want this kind of thing to be public knowledge. I'm just interested in the stats. Oh, and women only, obviously.

I think women often think that they're difficult, when theyre not, its just society/media/insecurity has got us believing that 15+ minutes takes forever... When it doesnt.
I'm also blaming our society (but its changing!) for the focus being on men (I'm thinking of the 50's lie back and think of england), women need to learn that its ok to say "I want you do this, like this" and not worry.

no problem by myself or with technology by myself but nearly impossible with other people :)
do some women actually find it's easier with other people? hmm interesting
guess some women have a harder time communicating and other women have a harder time being comfortable with their own body?

And by the way, I find it easier by myself and without technology... and although vibes can do it too, I find a vibe-induced orgasm somewhat unpleasant. Hard to say why, except for my mental state being different, and perhaps the vibe being too strong a stimulation. Oh, and maybe because by myself, it is me doing the moving, me controlling things, whereas with a vibe, it is a foreign object in control, and me being subject to it, as opposed to me in control. Strange, that coming from a rather sexually submissive mindset... but it would be different with a person doing something to me as opposed to a machine.
I found the title of your post amusing, as I just posted this on Sunday to my other journal:
You know what?
The way they describe orgasms is just a lie.
Like Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny
and Heaven.
