Videos for you

I somehow missed Catherine Tate vs David Tennant on Children in Need:

Thank goodness [livejournal.com profile] amberite brought it to my attention. We all need a bit of Shakespeare in our lives after all.

And also this:

which my brother [livejournal.com profile] drainboy sent me, and is a stroke of genius. I don't know how to describe it, except to say that had I a woman I was trying to woo, a guitar and a friend with a deep voice and a tiny piano _this_ is how I would do it.

Watching that clip makes me understand why everyone is so worried about having Tate back on Who.

The Shakespeare was OK, I guess, but didn't make me think she is a great acting talent/better than any other person might be as a companion.

I thought that was actually about the funniest sketch I've ever seen on C in Need/Comic relief!

I did! There were ads for Flight of the Conchords all over the subway when I was in New York, it looked fun.

Guess I'm not fluent enough in English-English. I have a hard time understanding much of what the Lauren character says after 3:40 in the clip, especially since she speaks so fast. Took me several replays to even figure out the word "bothered".

Yes, that one is much easier to understand.

Ooo I saw them on the Fringe a few years ago - They're called Flight of the Conchords - I seem to recall reading that they were doing a Radio 2 Show but never found out when.

They're really funny live. Wouldn't be surprised if you can't get some of their stuff via torrents

AND if you reply to this before leaving home, let it be known that I'm sitting in the Dundas Hellhole writing this - Get your butt to work boy!!!
