I love despair.com. One of the things I liked about Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (I had an assignment there in the fall) was that people decorated their labs with posters from despair.com.
I hate these kinds of banal barbs. People who spend time thinking them up really have deeper issues of self loathing they would be better spending time on.
I find this image beautiful and the message rather, umm, facist.

This after your declaration yesterday that all people that like cats are psychotic, and everyone who likes dogs has abandonment issues?
I find this image beautiful and the message rather, umm, facist. Saying that all difference is wrong would certainly be fascist. Saying that difference isn't necessarily great strikes me as a reasonable response to the cult of individuality.
I forgot to use an emoticon in my reply yesterday otherwise you couldn't tell i was joking and that maybe I really do think that all people who prefer cats are psychotic.
Of course psychotic behaviour could include hunting down dismissive put downs to post rather than dealing directly with what someone says.
I haven't got the same magical authority that psychiatrists do so it would have to be a stab in the dark.
Yeah, I was getting the general impression that between me not knowing your sense of humour, and the problems that textual communication has, I was taking some things more seriously than they should be, or in the wrong way.
I think I'll observe for a bit before leaping in with both boots again...
