Back of fag-packet calculations

Have just spent 30 seconds playing with Excel, and discovered that on the 29th of September 2008 I will have lived half my life in Scotland.

I thought it was this year, which goes to show my maths skills aren't what you'd hope of the employee of large financial company.

In any case I now have a year to think of some way of celebrating this.

Until you die you won't know where you lived half your life. You may have to move back to England next year then live to be 140.

Of course once you're dead you won't be able to know where you lived half your life.

Therefore you'll never know where you lived half your life, but you can celebrate a temporary estimation of it.

50% of my life up until that moment. I will have spent 18 years in Scotland, and 18 years in England.
