For a moment I didn't look at who posted this picture. The people in it looked so familiar I thought perhaps they might be Forumites I just hadn't really met yet.

Then I actually looked at the poster and realized my mistake.

Note: The Science Fiction forum is the largest volunteer run public lending library of Science fiction and fantasy on the East coast of the US. I was the president my senior year in college and the alumni tend to remain pretty social. I have most of my current friends (and even my current boyfriend) via the forum in one way or another.

Ok. He dropped the PhD as he decided academia isn't for him and is now looking for a decent job.

I'm hoping he finds one in Edinburgh, as otherwise I can see him moving away...
