Pictures of Me

A month or so back [livejournal.com profile] eduard_green cut my hair, as I'd become totally fed up with my inability to look after it.

In addition, I've been growing my beard in solidarity with [livejournal.com profile] thishardenedarm who seems to think that full-on beards are making a come-back.

At Chocolate Soup a week or so back [livejournal.com profile] 0olong took a couple of photos for me, which I hereby present

The first one was just how I happened to be sitting - he managed to coax a smile out of me for the second one.

Oh well, at least it leaves only me and [livejournal.com profile] khbrown in the running for Curliest Hair Award Of My Cthulhu Game....

If I turned one of those into an icon do you think I would get in trouble with lj-abuse? :-)

I think it's a very good look for you.

I'm amazed by the impressive trouser-creases. Is the hair a bit early-Einstein?

[identity profile] channelpenguin.livejournal.com 2006-06-05 04:23 pm (UTC)(link)
so you've half a chance at least then :-P

[identity profile] channelpenguin.livejournal.com 2006-06-05 08:51 am (UTC)(link)
WOW!!! That all actually fucking suits you! And good photies! You seriously need your own programme on BBC2 now. Some quirky thing on the history of something/someone nobody even knows exists or the like.

Shit, get a bit of a grey streak in the front there and you are definitely shooting near to looking distinguished (of which I an envious, since wone with grey in their hair just look old).

Learn how to move and you might even pull :-)

I recalled you had a few but not exactly where. Well, it will look good when they increase (you bastard).

Now you have to *keep* your hair about that length.

its not just me

"At New York Fashion Week last month at least a half-dozen designers turned up with furry faces.

"This is some sort of reaction to men who look scrubbed, shaved, plucked and waxed," said the designer Bryan Bradley, who stepped onto the runway after his Tuleh presentation looking like a renegade from the John Bartlett show, at which more than half the models wore beards: untidy ones that scaled a spectrum from wiry to ratty to shabby to fully bushy.

"It's less 'little boy,' " Mr. Bradley said. "For a while men have looked too much like Boy Scouts going off to day camp."

On city streets, too, trends in scruff have reached new levels of unruliness, a backlash, some beard enthusiasts say, against the heightened grooming expectations that were unleashed with the rise of metrosexuality as a cultural trend. Men both straight and gay, it appears, want to feel rough and manly."

Not bad!

I hate beards however. Doesn't it itch?

[identity profile] in-thy-bounty.livejournal.com 2006-06-05 10:32 pm (UTC)(link)
You look surprisingly distinguished. Not that you fool me for a second, obviously.

[identity profile] laserboy.livejournal.com 2006-06-06 02:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow. You look healthy and happy.

That length of hair and that particular level of beard growth suit you. Now you must maintain them!

Oh good.

That was my new years resolution for you, btw.
