Nice evening

Spent in the company of thishardenedarm and surliminal, celebrating her new job at Southampton (starting in September).  There was lovely food (Cauliflower + Cumin Soup, followed by Duck Confit for me) and the usual rambling conversation, this time going from Deconstructionism, feminism, modernism and kaballah to whether intelligence is better than happiness and whether it's possible to change one's expectations or are they too much part of us.

Then bussed home, sans book (having left The Confusion at work - luckily I'm in for a couple of hours tomorrow, so I'll pick it up then), thinking up ways to manage multiple app.config files better in Visual Studio.

Oooh. Sounds like very interesting dinner conversation. You'll have to come round here for dinner and bring it with you...
