Technical Advice please

My computer is in the living room.

The TV is in the living room.

I can happily read away without problems, but typing causes enough noise to piss off the people watching TV.

Can anyone recommend a quiet keyboard?

YES!

My brother got my dad this really cool indestructable keyboard for christmas. I've typed on it and it makes little to no noise at all, the only thing you have to get used to is the fact that it's made out of flexable rubber. (thus a little wonky on the fingers )

The name of the product is: the Virtually Indestructible Keyboard
and here is a site that gives a review of it.

Highly recogmended.

http://www.fingerworks.com/ a no noise keyboard and mouse in one, this is the nearest you are going to get to S.T.N.G. and if you don't know the abreviation that just shows character.
P.S. I thought your beard/goaty thing looked very good on you, it gave your face a bit more length and depth.

I got a cheap infra red one from pc world a while back, had a built in mouse thing as well. I think it was called airwave, or something. It was based around a laptop keyboard anyway, so was a lot quieter than most others I've used

i have a compaq keyboard, and it is very quiet..

but looks like dougs is designed to be quiet look there first, the other thing, is build some sort of acustic hood, for you hands..

or direct your keyboard away from everyone else..
