Having spent an hour at an introductory DDR session at the convention (and doing very badly in places) I was interested to see this piece on its history.
If it wasn't so expensive I'd be tempted to pick one up.

Doesn't have to be *too* expensive ...
... I had a PS2 already, so I bought a dance mat and a dance game from www.play.com for 30 quid including delivery.

If you can start from a clean start, it's not a bad deal. PS2 for 140 pounds, multiregion hack and DVD remote for 12 quid, dance mat and game for 30 quid, 8Mb memory 10 quid, extra hand controller 8 quid. Add a surround sound amp and speakers (200 quid?) and you've got a multiregion home cinema setup, a games console, game and dance mat for under 400 pounds.
If you've already got a console, or buy one second hand on ebay, even cheaper!
