much
scarier in
The Two Towers
than she was as a special effect in
The Return of the King
.

Some things work better for me in book form, some things work better in film form.
I wasn't, for instance, scared of the spiders in Chamber of Secrets until I saw the film.
But I have been moved very much by a lot of books.
