Van Helsing.  Trailer.  Here.

Hugh Jackman takes on Dracula, Frankenstein and the Wolfman.  I'm hoping it will kick ass.

Was Frankenstein's monster actually a 'Monster' or just misguided and misunderstood, and was Frankenstein himself indeed worthy of the title?

Hence the quotation marks. If I recall correctly Dr. Frankenstein's creation or child never got a name. Perhaps the blind man called him something?

In any case, yes, it was the horror and intolerance of those around him that turned his character and actions to the less-than-civil deeds.

As to the appellations of the dear old doctor, it depends on how much you ascribe to him in terms of intention and consequence.
