The committee using the LLMs to vet panelists and the Hugo Committee are two different groups of people. If you are at all interested in the matter, Nicholas Whyte et al. posted a resignation letter eloquent in both what it says and carefully does not say.

AFAIK the panelist-vetting people are doubling down on their "everything is fine" position, but WorldCons burn down so quickly this could have changed since I last looked.

I read the post yesterday when Nicholas posted it on Facebook. It's very careful about not saying things to the point where I don't understand the reasons beyond "They used LLM and we don't like that."
