That's sad to hear, but then I have strong links to the local dance communities from an early age. Especially the modern performance dance. Mainly from having helped aspiring ballerinas do their portfolios (given the dearth of male people willing and able to do at least rudimentary ballet at a local level). I didn't have to be good (and I am not), I just had to make them look good.

A few went on to become choreographers of major Australian dance companies.

[Dance made a great substituted for gymnastics when I started losing the ability to throw myself off my feet due to competition judo reflexes. I do not understand the Australian male's reluctance to dance. It's fun, even absent the company you keep. It's a good thing that a lot of swing and modern dance has come back into style (although I am sadly now incapable of doing much of anything).]

I love that piece, both in the original and live versions.
