I see your Adrian Carton de Wiart and raise you one "Mad" Jack Churchill, who "fought in the Second World War with a longbow, a basket-hilted Scottish broadsword, and a set of bagpipes." Also won both the DSO and MC and bars on both (which means we won both medals twice), then went on to introduce surfing to the UK. Joined the commandos because it sounded dangerous, was captured then broke out of a Nazi concentration camp, and was angry that the second world war ended too soon because he was enjoying it immensely.
They don't make 'em like him any more. And I'm kind of glad about that ...
