I think that whoever generates the content from them ought to be responsible for it.

There is an issue with that though, that mentioned in the article. If I use a generic prompt, and get copyrighted / IP content THAT I DON'T KNOW. I mean I'm not a gamer, or an anime or manga or comics fan. So I could quite easily not recognise such content. Other people will have similar blind spots in different areas...

If you're running one at home then you need to understand what it was trained on.

If someone is selling you access on theirs then they would be responsible.

Ah, I misunderstood what you meant by "I think that whoever generates the content from them" to mean the end user, not the provider.
