As a diabetic who's been taking Metformin for many years, I'm really pleased to find that it reduces risk of long Covid! I also take the drug Montelukast which I've heard reduces the risk of Covid going to the respiratory system. I think I've had a (very mild) case of Covid twice now (didn't show up on tests either time but I did experience a loss of taste and smell), and it passed pretty quickly both times with no concerns about it going to my chest. Long Covid is something I've been deeply worried about so this is such a relief.

Dreamwidth text nowadays is mostly Markdown. If you start a line with a number followed by a number, the Markdown engine says, "Aha! This is supposed to be an Ordered List!" and renders it as such. But Ordered Lists start at 1.

So yes, this is a common issue: it's trying to helpful and smart, but trying a bit too hard.

Doesn't matter -- a list of length one is still considered a list. If Markdown mode is on, a number followed by a period at the beginning of a line is a numbered list, starting from 1.

(The actual rules are a bit subtle, but that's roughly how it works.)
