Morecambe Bay has a gas field; there was talk of turning it into a gas storage facility.
Morecambe Bay also has several offshore wind farms.
Would it be too much to hope that the pressures involved are similar enough that we could combine all three ?

Checking where things are at the moment, it looks like 60% efficiency is plausible, and about 30Wh/L - Lithium Ion has about 85% efficiency and about 260 Wh/L. So only worth it if CAES is a fair bit cheaper and you really don't care about space. Which we might not, if it was underwater, or using an old gas storage facility!
