Holocaust Memorial Day

On Holocaust Memorial Day I am remembering my late grandmother who managed to survive by becoming a refugee in the UK but also remembering members of my grandfather's family who were not lucky enough to find refuge.

My own maternal great grandmother was Latvian Jewish.

She came to the UK earlier in the 20thcentury- none of the family in Riga, as far as I know, survived WW2.
