Thank you 8-) It has got better already; I don't think this gardener is malicious, in the way the people-before-last were malicious. I'm hiding because I don't want to have a conversation, rather than because I think she's a threat.

But really. What I want is a house where random people I have to be polite to don't turn up without warning.
