It's yet another illustration of how our awful housing provision and costs trash the environment as well as people's lives. I know of people who used to commute to London from Dundee by plane because it was still significantly cheaper than moving to London, and I had a colleague who worked in London who used to joke he ought to move up here or to France and commute because his housing costs were ridiculous.
