I am a little confused as to what the task was. It looks in the video to me like just hitting the numbers in order, regardless of location. (Which doesn't strike me as especially hard, or that it would take more than a few runs through to get fast at).

Did I misinterpret?

The chimp does that, and then does it just as quick when the numbers are covered by white squares after a few seconds of being visible.
