I see I can get that Unabomber series on YouTube, so I may watch it. What I'm most interested in knowing is why, when caught, he looked nothing like the police sketch of the mustached man in the hoodie who was seen in Utah. Had he grown the beard and otherwise changed his appearance in the interim? Obviously possible, but I've never seen the matter even alluded to.

The piece on the drone pilots is chilling. Especially the part about killing and then going home to your spouse and kids, and not even being allowed to talk about any of it. There used to be a separation between warfare and family life; go to war, then come back home, with inevitable difficulty at the transitions. But having to switch between that every day must be even worse in some ways. I wonder if that makes it more likely for you to start treating it like a video game; mentally de-emphasizing the realness of what you are doing.
