I mean, it does underline one of the fundemental principles of the Conservative party, it's just... you never really see them being brave enough to openly admit it.
Perhaps they just seek to compound the misery of the Lib-Dems. That thing about Call-me-Dave wanting to ban all gay kissing before 9pm seemed intended to drive a knife into the Lib-Dems too.
