Question for the floor?

So, why do we bother putting cakes in ovens rather than just eating cake mix?

Raw eggs aren't actually a problem - in the US it's about 1 in 30,000 eggs that have salmonella, and in the UK vaccination against salmonella is indicated by a stamp (And is quite common, I believe).
