One of the scenes cut from the first film was Neville's 'standing up to Harry et al' and getting a frozen spell. I still think it would have made the film better.

Given he's been wearing a fat suit, false teeth and had cheek pads in since filme 2, as he's an exercise buff, they've hidden it well, haven't they? :)
