Repeating, because it's true
I am not comfortable being your primary source of news. I aggregate links based on what I find interesting, outrageous, clever or fascinating. I put them together quickly, while multitasking and often not having time to read full articles before I post them. This would be bad journalistic practice, if this link-blogging were an act of journalism. But it's not.

Now, I don;t think any of you lot do take me as a primary source of news, but I would like to take this moment to make it clear that I do not always read deeply into things I link to, double-check sources, or even think about them for more than 5 seconds. I frequently link to things where I only found where there's one interesting idea and a bunch of nonsense. I link to things which I disagree with but find amusing.
I hope that you find the links amusing. I'm always cheered by people telling me that they do (and that's not a request for ego-boosting), I just want to make it clear that I don't believe everything I link to, and you bleeding well shouldn't either.

What I will say is that you provide a valuable service with your linkblogging, one that's introduced me to a lot of writers I wouldn't have come across otherwise, and while you're not my 'primary source of news', you're certainly one of four or five different sources that go to the top of my list...

I enjoy your links, but I don't take them too seriously.
Still, I hope you keep posting them.

I do try to pick up a variety of _sensible_ views. I'm unlikely to be taking stories from Fox News any time soon, but I rarely find that any single source agrees with me entirely, so I need a few to cover everything I think.

I suspect this is one of those cases that if you dont already know that, then you shoulder be let near the internet.

I often find that something you post piques my interest to the point that I will delve into it a bit more deeply on my own, but I never consider the articles you link to be unquestionable paragons of journalistic integrity. At most, they are jumping-off points.

Of course, I mostly get news beamed into my filling by the government.
