Ridley Scott always worries me slightly, because my brain insists on confusing him with Mark Ridley, the genius writer of many books on evolution. Who, in turn, I confuse with Mark Ridley, the upper class twit who also writes on evolution, only much worse, and appears to be becoming a right-wing icon for running Northern Rock into the ground as Chair of the Board.

Just as well I don't confuse any of them with Nicholas Ridley.

The second Mark Ridley there should be Matt Ridley. Personally, I'd confuse that name with Marc Riley...

Ah. I thought everyone who wasn't a cheerleader for his Optimism knew: I thought the standard ad hominem attack starts with snark about his track record of irrational optimism before descending in to class warfare.
