What happened to the Lib Dem vote: the Lib Dem vote share went *up* (compared to last general election), but not by as much as expected by pretty much anyone. The number of *seats* went down, but that's the quirks of our much beloved FPTP system &c. &c.

"Livejournal staff apparently looking at flocked posts if they feel like it."

That part I don't have a problem with... that's the case for just about any online service. Admin privileges will let you see everything on the site; they have to if the admin is going to be able to do his/her/its job properly. Seriously, folks, don't put anything in a Friends-locked post that must absolutely be kept confidential... and not just because of this, but because all it takes is one moment of forgetfulness on the "lock" button or one indiscreet Friend to blow the doors off. If it's too hot to get out widely, I suggest not sharing it online (anywhere, not just LJ) but rather putting it down in a truly private journal/diary on your own computer. (Or doing it the old-fashioned way with pen-and-well-hidden-book.)

"And then leaving stalkery comments."

That's where I have a problem, but that doesn't lie at the feet of LJ but rather the admin doing it... unless LJ fails to take action against the staffer abusing his/her/its privileges.

-- Steve has experience with admin privileges, and isn't as quick to blame the service as others seem to be given his experience.
