I hate being sick

Woke up with a splitting headache, feeling weak as a kitten. Walking to the bathroom and back confirmed that the chances of me making it into work today was zero.

Bah.

My laptop screen feels too bright too, so I suspect that I won't be using that much either. And my concentration doesn't feel like it's up to reading books.

This is going to be a long, dull, day.

Send puppies.

I still function!

Today was spent, from 9:00 to 19:00 largely asleep. I would collapse for two hours, my eyes unable to stay open, and then wake up for long enough to pee, drink some water, spray some anaesthetic on the back of my throat, tell a couple of people on IM I was still awake, and then fall back asleep again. I felt cold through all of this, despite having a nice thick duvet.

At 19:00 I woke up feeling hot and sweaty, and with a brain that actually felt awake. Not operating at 100%, but not just a comatose mess of instincts and low-level maintenance routines.

I still feel weak, and not hungry at all. But I have now got fish fingers in the oven, vegetables in a pot, and intend to use my baby-deer legs to wander into the kitchen and bring back dinner in a couple of minutes, and then pick at it slowly.

Going to London for the weekend has now been tentatively moved from the "Ahahahahaha, no" column to the "Actually, this might happen" column.
