Amazon clearly have too much money
A couple of days ago I got a text from DHL telling me that my parcel was en route from France.
I had no idea what on earth they were talking about, but I happily tracked it via the DHL website (which has some nice functionality, like being able to sign up for notifications on specific events - like the parcel being delivered - so that you don't have to keep going back to their site to check for any progress).
And today it arrived. A Trade Paperback of Hawkeye: My Life As A Weapon, which I picked up on the recommendation of Liz Batty.
Why, exactly, my copy had to be sent from Orleans, via East Midlands airport, I have no idea. Possibly someone at Amazon decided that it was too awesome for me to wait for it to be back in stock in the UK?
(I've read the first chapter, and so far it's pretty good. Street level, nice sense of humour, about as violent as you'd expect without wallowing in unpleasantness.)
