What time do you call this?

Got to sleep at about 1am last night, and woke up at 7am. This seems to have become a habit recently, my body will not sleep in past 7-7:30. It's only been the last week, but I'm hoping that it goes back to its previous habits soon. Julie and I are both generally on a cycle that leads to bed between 11 and midnight (although she's recently been working on the PhD until the early hours anyway), and I suck if I repeatedly get less than 8 hours a night.

First option, I think, is blackout blinds, so that I can't tell when it gets light out. Second option is to go to bed earler, which I like a lot less, as it means I'll get less time with Julie.

*sigh*

At least I woke up to this cute oddness on [livejournal.com profile] meico's journal:

Tesco was selling cheap blackout blinds. not as good as a blackout curtain, but much cheaper

We have blackout curtain linings, we just need to take the time to fasten them properly to the actual curtains. The other problem is a lot of light escapes around the edges of the curtains, damn Edinburgh giant windows!

Lol. I know what you mean. we are using blackout blind and curtains and blindfold. Seems to work...
