theferrett pointed me at Indexed, a webcomic made up entirely of graphs, charts and diagrams. It's terribly clever, and I can think of several people on my friends list that would like it Here's my favourite so far.

Work update

I haven't mentioned work recently, but it's going astoundingly well. I seem to have gone from "coder" to "Lead GUI developer". I spent the last two weeks in January writing a prototype to replace the entire of the presentation layer for the application I'm working on, helped demonstrate it to three groups of customer representatives and gave a demonstration to 30 members of the team I'm in. The last week was spent hacking together a bunch of library code so that I had something to build the actual application out of, grabbing people for impromptu meetings to hammer out how the UI is going to actually work, and generally taking responsibility for all sorts of stuff. The great thing being that it's actually all coming together nicely, people are treating me well, I feel that my work/opinions are being respected, and it all looks like it's going to come in on time and work properly.

This time next week I suspect I'll be sobbing about how it's all gone to shit and will never work...
