Wait, they've changed a superficial aspect of the program?

DOCTOR WHO DIED FOR ME TODAY! THE "MOFF" HAS RUINED DR WHO FOREVER!!!

I like the left side...

I think it's awesome. There are references in there to the very first Doctor Who logo, I'm sure deliberately (as they've gone back to the very original TARDIS design and Matt Smith's first promotional photos had all kinds of nods to the first Doctor).

I'm really looking forward to the new series next year. Well, to be honest, I would be anyway, but they seem to be consciously building on the backstory, mythology and design ethos of the whole run. Which is fun.

Approved.

It's out of context, so it's just fine really. We'll see when the show airs and how they use it.

I should imagine it's mostly the left hand side (credit sequence) with only the right hand side for eye catching promo ads.

First of all: it's not the previous logo. That earns it brownie points already.

I really like the Tardis logo. And I expect the logo animated looks much better than a still.

The question is, will they have the courage to revamp the Tardis vortex effects?
