Whining about Facebook

I don't mind people bringing through interesting twitter updates to their Facebook statuses - but if they're prolific twitterers and they bring through all of their "private" @someone twits then they're really clogging up my news feed.

Is there any way to block this kind of thing from my news feed other than removing the person?

If you hover over an item in the news feed it will give you a dropdown. Should be an item for getting fewer updates from that person.

It works for me :)

I wish I knew.

I deal with it by blocking the person from my news feed. If they are so lazy and inconsiderate that they can't be arsed typing out a FB-specific update, and just cross-post tweets that make no bloody sense out of context, they aren't worth my time.

I do tweet, and export it to my fb, so I did an @username reply last night to see what would happen and it didn't come in to my news feed - as far as I can tell anyway. Perhaps it is the settings for that particular person. And maybe it'd be worth harassing fb about - not that they ever reply, but you never know.

Aye--I was under the impression that the Twitter FB app didn't crosspost tweets containing an @person.

Andrew, is the source for that person Twitter, or are they using some other app?

Never heard of it, but if it's being annoying, best way I guess is to tell them; they might not even realize it's happening or that it annoys, and odds are it can be turned off with a tweak of settings.
