Moving house

Bleeding heckfire, 300 people leap out of the bushes shouting "Me! Me! Why didn't you pick me!"

I was one person down, I found one person, it was fine. More people would probably have just got in the way.

Thank you all anyway. You're all lovely, lovely people.

and I would have volunteered, but I was far too busy winning the pub quiz at the Beggar.
Oh, and I'm still a bit of a cripple.
I suppose I could have been there in a capacity as a logistics manager, thereby freeing other people up to do more of the heavy lifting.

Andrew's right, there were just about the right number of people to get the job done. Packing boxes and carrying them down narrow stairways doesn't leave too much room for people to hang around. More people would probably have got in the way.
