Some years ago I seriously considered installing an isolation switch to the basement flat's power supply. Legally it's dodgy but who would have known? Anyway the main reason for not doing it was that I couldn't find a way of switching off the power upstream from their flat in order to safely install said switch. Bah. Knocking the door in the small hours sort of worked, but then they were indie kids and I was 6'6" of (usually) pure rage ;) Actually they had fairly good taste in music, these days I'd be inclined to invite mnyself in with a few beers - doesn't really work during the week though, and some of their parties continued right through to dawn when I decided not to intervene and sleep in the lounge. I figured too much complaining would result in kick back, and the inevitable escalation that leads to neighbours setting alight to conifers, murder, etc. :-|
