Silly question: do links to the Economist work for people who aren't subscribers?

Last time I tried, the material could only be seen by people who had logged in (ie subscribed), which was really irritating, and I haven't linked to any articles in the Economist since then.

But if it does work for everyone, that would be useful to know!
