I'm with you. This advert is dreadfully mysognistic. I don't care that there are multiple interpretations possible. The main interpretation is pretty damned clear to me.

We're not alone, as the comments on my entry about this show. It's not a genuine advert, though, which is some small comfort.

Yeah I was pretty sure it couldn't be a real Guinness advert, because:

1) Guiness don't want you to share. They want everyone to get their own pint/bottle. Considering that, maybe a masturbation advert would have been more appropriate?

2) Guinness adverts tend to shove the marketing line or sentiment that "It's worth the wait". The only way this advert would've worked with that is if the white "head" on the beer was, well, white head from the participants.

In both Guinness marketing and general adverting, this wannabe advert is full of epic fail. It's just misogyny.

Have to agree. I didn't like the ad either. Glad it's not a real Guinness advert because I would quit drinking it over that.
