• Motoring 'cheaper than in 1988' - people incapable of telling.
  The motoring group takes inflation into account and says cars are now cheaper overall and need less money spent on them than they did two decades ago. But 60% of people surveyed thought higher costs were the biggest change in motoring since 1988.

Regarding Tilda Swinton's film festival: how many local or community based film festivals are there that don't get this publicity because they're not fortunate enough to have a name attached to them? For example, one of my friends is curating a season of trash / fringe films to play at the Cameo during the festivals in august. He could send out a press release to the BBC and newspapers, but it's unlikely to get publicity outside Edinburgh.

Also reading some of the specifics of her festival, like having audiences sit on beanbags, I'm sceptical if they've really thought / worked through the health and safety issues in the way that a 'proper' cinema has to.

Oh, it's absolutely to do with her name. It still sounds like fun though.
