Shelves!

Following one trip to B&Q, 40 rawlplugs and screws, much drilling of holes into the walls and cutting of wood to the right length, Ed has shelves in his room.

I am now rather tired.

But will still be dancing later!

You don't want plasterboard rawlplugs - they're complete shite. Either go for metal redidrives, or use metal hollow wall anchors (expanding bolts). Spring toggles are a waste of time, in my experience.

Fixing spur shelving is one of the easiest and most satisfying DIY projects I know, which is probably why we have so many of them.

Did you buy the precut and finished shelves (contiboard or similar), or own-brand melamine-coated particleboard that you had to cut to length and seal?
