But I don't want to go!

I'm fairly sure the third panel here is a universal fear. It certainly applies to me - it's the reason I have problems leaving places or going to bed while stuff is going on...

LOL! In total honesty, such thoughts have never entered my tiny little head. For part of it, I suppose I think fun is something I *do* not something other people provide.

I'll stay/stay up in order to get laid (and have), but really, I can't think of anything else.

I read something, somewhere, a long time ago. In some off the cuff remark, the author characterised growing up by "the constant fear that the world might be happening somewhere else". I have completely forgotten where it came from, but the line stuck with me.

I'm sure I told you the story of how I was at a convention long long ago with a bunch of people sitting in a hotel corridor.

I turned to my then boyfriend and said "Look! Those people down there are having way more fun than we are."

He looked sadly at me and said "Liian. that's us reflected in the mirror at the end of the corridor."

True story :)

Interestingly, I don't have that fear.

I don't know whether that makes it not universal or me a freak.
