Anyone recommend a decent keyboard? I don't want anything special - doesn't need to be wireless, curved at odd angles, glow in the dark or made of cream cheese. I just want a normal keyboard that feels "right" when I type on it and isn't too noisy.

Sun type 6 Unix-layout USB keyboard.



Can be acquired inexpensively via eBay, great key motion and feel, sensible layout. Best keyboard made these last 5 years.

It doesn't -need- to glow, but it should.

The basis HP keyboard is pretty quiet.

I have preference for kensington value keyboard as the action is good and positive.
Having said that I have a basic microsoft one at the moment as my othr half is using the kensington.

Try a basic logitech (lovely positive keystrike) or a saitek (glows in the dark), I wouldn't part with mine for any money, its not the quietest keyboard in the world but then I don't like these modern softly, softly keyboards with about as much feel and soul as your average toaster. Give me a nice positive solid keyboard that I can batter within an inch of its life and it'll still come back for more.

If you DO decide on Wireless, go for Logitech. Easily the best ones by far.
