I've never seen "Company of Wolves", but I'm sure I recognize allusions to Lolita in various dynamics and scene elements here. Whether this is also in CoW or not I don't know.

Company of Wolves is an amazing dream-like movie about coming of age, and little red riding hood, and the dangers that lurk inside everyone.

Yes, looked it up on IMDB. Filed for "watch this in future." I just read Lolita last week, so it's fresh in my mind, and the whole "I prey on you while acting subservient towards you" vibe in the choreography here makes me think of it...

I've not read Lolita - and the only film version I've seen is the bowlderised Kubrick one. But from my understanding the issues it raises are covered from a different angle in Venus, which was a marvellous character piece.
